Débutant en 1941, pour Citizen Kane d’Orson Welles, il gagne son unique Oscar en 1942 pour The Devil and Daniel Webster de William Dieterle. En 1947, il entre dans l’œuvre de Mankiewicz avec The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. Puis avec The Trouble with Harry il débute sa légendaire collaboration avec Alfred Hitchcock. Des admirateurs de ce dernier font donc appel à Herrmann, c’est le cas de François Truffaut et Brian De Palma. The Alma Chamber Orchestra with its new formation of 43 musicians will bring for the first time young and brilliant conductor, Lionel Bringuier, who directed prestigious orchestras throughout the world, and soloist Nicolaj Znaider, one of the most talented violinist of his generation.

The young orchestra, with Anne Gravoin as artistic director, is composed of great musicians from the greatest French orchestras and instrumentalists pursuing careers in chamber music all over the world.

The programming of the Alma Chamber Orchestra represents its desire to bring light to each and every talent of the Alma Chamber Orchestra’s 43 musicians. It is as well about sharing with an international audience the most beautiful works of all time:

Akko, aussi connu sous le nom de Saint-Jean-d’Acre, est une ville d’histoire où se sont succédés les civilisations dès l’Antiquité. En témoignent des vestiges de l’époques des Templiers, les fortifications successives de la ville, la mosquée Al Jezzar, la citadelle, les lieux saints du bahaïsme...
En raison de sa richesse culturelle, Akko est membre de l’Organisation des villes du patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO.

Le Strauss Municipal Conservatory s’inscrit dans cet héritage culturel depuis 2008, date de son inauguration en présence du président Shimon Pérès mais participe aussi de la redynamisation de la ville.

Ainsi, «Akko, ville musicale» a été un programme précurseur en Israël avant même l’ouverture du Strauss Municipal Conservatory. Encadrés par 42 professeurs de musique diplômés, plus de 750 jeunes, de tous âges - de la maternelle au lycée -, de toutes confessions sont inscrits, soit 8% des jeunes de la ville. Un record.
5 formations d’instruments à vent, deux d’instruments à cordes et une section de jazz et de chants témoignent de la diversité musicale. Les invitations à l’étranger et les récompenses internationales sont la preuve de leur qualité.
]]> events Thu, 28 Nov 2013 09:30:00 +0100 Rainbow Concerto (events) http://almachamberorchestra.com/fr/agenda/2-concert.html http://almachamberorchestra.com/fr/agenda/2-concert.html La première représentation à l’étranger du concerto pour piano intitulé « Rainbow » aura lieu le 27 novembre 2013 à 20H30, à l’Israel Conservatory of Music de Tel Aviv Cette œuvre, composée par Karol Beffa et interprétée par Pascal Denis, sera accompagnée par le jeune orchestre Alma Chamber Orchestra sous la direction de Debora Waldman. Il s’agit d’un double concert dont le second aura lieu à Akko le 28 novembre 2013.

D’autres pièces maitresses de Wiesenberg, Sibelius, Prokofiev, Mendelssohn, Bruch et Bizet seront proposées au public.

A l’origine de cet événement musical, la fondation Alma Nostra Foundation créée en 2013 par Zouhir Boudemagh, se propose d’apporter son soutien à de jeunes artistes internationaux qui expriment leur talent dans tous les domaines de l’art contemporain. Elle financera ainsi chaque année la création d’une œuvre musicale présentée à l’occasion du concert annuel organisé par la Alma Nostra Foundation. Son inauguration a eu lieu le 22 mai 2013 lors d’un concert exceptionnel à la salle Gaveau de Paris.

Pour sa première année, la Fondation Alma Nostra Foundation apporte son soutien au jeune compositeur Karol Beffa, lauréat de la 20ème édition des victoires de la musique classique en France. L’œuvre sera interprétée par Denis Pascal, pianiste soucieux de garder une conscience historique du répertoire qui sort des sentiers battus et donne des concerts à la fois marquants et ouverts à tous.

Pour accompagner la création à l’étranger de l’œuvre de Karol Beffa, la Fondation Alma Nostra Foundation a choisi de financer la première tournée internationale de l’Alma Chamber Orchestra.
